Bad Poetry Corner No. 3

Good news everybody. I've scribbled a new poem.

I was up at Oval Beach again yesterday watching the waves through the sprinkles of rain. Fearing I'd fall asleep and not wake up in time to pick up my daughter from dance, I started scribbling some lines to stay awake.

Here's what you get:

The gull thinks on shore
With white waves at its feet
Not of souls lost to wintry sprays,
Not of love-starved nights nor lonely days.

The gull shrinks over swells
With white waves at its wings
Lost to souls of wintry ways,
Lost to night-lone love and day-starved thoughts.

Thought: It's for the birds.
